Traffic Calming

Our Traffic Calming range is manufactured in the UK using a carefully formulated blend of 100% recycled plastics. The range is available in two heights 50mm and 70mm. To give you a choice of desired road speed options and each height comes in two parts, a middle and an end segment. Standard colours are black and painted yellow and any colour combination of your choosing can be supplied. All segments have a patterned surface which is moulded in during the manufacturing process, to aid surface grip of tyres.

The design on all segments includes an integrally moulded interlocking system which ensures segments locate securely together and will not slip apart. The middle segment (yellow and black) is fitted with cats eyes as standard. Fixing bolts are required to bolt the ramp segments to the ground, 4 on the middle segment and 2 for the end segments.

Current UK legislation requires any person or company offering car park facilities to conduct a safety audit, and where vehicle speed in any area shared with pedestrians is a manageable risk, speed bumps are acknowledged to be the most effective speed risk management tool. The Health & Safety Executive have also stated that where no pavement exists, speed bumps are the ideal way to zone pedestrian walkways in areas shared with vehicles (i.e. car parks, drives and access roads).
